Kindergarten (2013 - 2014)
The “Brotherhood of the Bruin” began in earnest when the boys started kindergarten. Our group began to shape: growing in numbers and taking on an identity. They were now old enough to go camping, hiking, riding in the back of a pick-up truck and roasting marshmallows!

The Spring of 2014 saw even more growth of the Brotherhood. We also introduced the canoe paddle as our “totem” to signify membership. Each boy personalized his paddle by putting his name and hand print on it. We have continued to add totems to the paddle with each camp out (eg, we hand out a unique dogtag commemorating each campout).
